It started with my grandfather, who spent his life as a mechanic and had a shop of his own. That's where motorsports found me before I could walk into a garage on my own -- by seven, I was racing go-karts professionally, and I kept at it until sixteen, picking up multiple regional and national championships along the way, plus dirt bikes and pocket bikes on the side.

When I stepped away from racing, the passion didn't go anywhere -- it just moved to four wheels. In my late teens I ran my own auto detailing and vinyl wrap business, and not long after, I started building a career in finance and trading, one I've spent the last twelve years on. Motorcycles sat on the shelf during that stretch, but performance never did -- European cars, suspension and body work, and eventually a run through nearly every AMG and Lamborghini worth driving.

Last year I finally got back on a motorcycle, something I'd wanted to do for years. Almost immediately I ran into a gap a lot of KTM 990 RC R owners know well: the carbon fiber that should have come on this bike either wasn't available yet, or wasn't available at all. I'd always wanted to build something with my business's name on vehicles around the world. This was the gap I wanted to fill.

For years, building this properly wasn't a matter of desire -- it was a matter of time. I had the manufacturing relationships and the standards I wanted to build to, but finance took almost everything I had to give. After taking delivery of my 990 RC R in April, building this company was on my mind constantly, and in the weeks leading up to an accident earlier this year, it was all I could think about. Recovering meant spending most of my days at home, and I put every hour of that time into finally building RC Composite the way I'd always wanted to -- at the highest level, not as a side project.

This isn't a business run by a spreadsheet.

It's built by someone who races, rides, and wrenches -- and who got tired of watching bikes like these get sold with cheap black plastic where real carbon fiber should be. Every part we make is built to the standard I'd want on my own bike, because it is.
